June, 1st, 2002.
The rear driver's quarter panel was replaced yesterday. I didn't get to be there when the panel was torn out, but I got a chance to take a quick set of pics of the new panel coming on. The pics below show the new quarter panel on the car joined to the body. They also show it mated up to the door area and blending with the new rocker panel on the bottom. The rear trunk floor is in place and the rear tail light panel has been fixed of any imperfections. I took pics of the seams where it meets the body and also of the inside looking out. I've also decided to shave off the lower door/body moldings on the car and I've elected to shave off the rear side markers as well for a cleaner more euro look.
June, 11th, 2002.
Just came back from a weekend up at Watkins Glen in NY. Had a pretty good time despite the small 02 turnout. You can see pics here.
Got a chance to take some pics today. All the body is solid and welded in place now. The new quarter is in, all the seams have been sealed, the body is primered and going into the final stages. See pics below:
June 20th, 2002: A few more pics are added today. Now the whole car is primered including the engine bay and inside the front nose. Almost there....
